When I first read the theme for the contest, I immediately knew what I wanted to present. I thought about something that every artist is familiar with... resistance against dull, normal and every day reality, the darkness in other words. Then we have the light, the imagination and how, if the right road is chosen, something amazing can be created.

And this is the result. At first I wasn't sure if I could pull it off, but I'm satisfied with the final result

Very relatable to any aspiring artist out there.The colouring is smooth and flows well,the wistful expression and the silent mystical wonder her of her imagination is child-like and charming.

Aw man (though you are a very venerable woman) this is great. Absolutely perfect :D
You managed to capture the feeling spot on.

Only qualm is the shadow her face make on the wall, it's too dark and dense since nothing else in that drawing have such a hard and defined shadow.

Otherwise this is something you could pay a hefty amount of money for.

Wow, to hear such words from YOU is... unexpected. I'm speechless! And that doesn't happen often. Most of the time only when I sleep...

Face of this girl is my personal nemesis... the more I worked on it the more it proved my theory: I'm not a painter ;.;
